What is Egoscue?
How much does it cost?
How long will it take me to incorporate this training with clients?
The first course will be teaching you how to see posture and complete assessments. We recommend that our students start incorporating what they are learning right away with clients, friends, and family members. Again, the more you immerse yourself in the Method, the more successful you will be.
What is the benefit of incorporating Egoscue into my practice?
By adding posture therapy to your toolbelt, you will be able to understand WHERE their pain is coming from, and address the cause of this symptom through corrective exercise. This will help your clients feel better faster by getting to the root cause of their pain. You will quickly learn how to help your clients experience lasting pain relief between visits.
Can I do one or two courses without doing the entire certification?
The short answer is yes. Each course in the PAS bundle builds off the previous course, so as you continue taking courses, you will continue adding tools to your current toolbelt.
Can I complete my training entirely online?
Absolutely! The coursework is accessible through an online portal that can be accessed on a computer, tablet, or phone.
Can I receive training in-person?
Yes, we host in-person seminars in San Diego, CA about 4 times per year (this is included in the PAS certification price). You will need to complete all your online coursework prior to arriving for seminar.
How am I assessed?
How does the Egoscue PAS certification program work?
The Level 1 Postural Alignment Specialist certification is an online certification that teaches students the fundamentals of posture therapy. This training can be completed remotely, all while working at your own pace. You will be able to apply the principles of Egoscue with your client base during and after certification, which will ultimately make you more valuable to your clientele. The certification includes 14 online courses and 2 seminars. The seminars can be completed either online or in-person. Along with the coursework, students also have access to 12 one-on-one tutoring calls with instructors to discuss questions, clients, and exercises. Immersing yourself in The Method is key to being a successful therapist.
Is there ongoing support after I complete training?
Yes, absolutely. The Institute is an inclusive and supportive community with ongoing learning opportunities. Students have many ways of staying connected: study groups, student forums, social media, conference calls, and events.
How long does it take to complete the training?
Generally, most students complete the training in 3 – 6 months, if they are spending about 5 – 10 hours per week on their coursework. Students are most successful when immersing themselves in the training, so we expect everyone to be completed in 6 months.
How do I make my money back from the initial education investment?
You set your own pricing. We recommend charging what our Franchise clinics charge. 3 options in clinic:
- 1 visit at a time $275/visit
- 8 visit package $1675.00 USD equals $209/visit
- 16 visit package $2745.00 USD equals $171/visit
Does my certification expire?
PAS certification is valid for 2 years. We offer a re-certification course for $449. This course will renew your certificate for an additional 2 years. We also accept credits from outside courses. We also encourage our students to move forward in the education process with the Level 2 ETS courses.
