1:1 Therapy
HOW IT WORKS
One-on-one posture therapy is the gold standard at Egoscue. Your dedicated therapist will be by your side throughout every step of your journey.
You’ll build a personal connection with your coach and tailor fit your Egoscue program to your wants and needs.
In-Person
1:1 Posture Therapy is available in-person at all our clinic locations. Our clinics offer a positive, supportive environment where you can focus on healing and connect with a community that shares your values and priorities.
What you need
The beauty of in-person therapy is that we can take care of most of the details for you. You’ll need the ability to visit one of our locations. We ask that you dress in comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement and allows us to take pictures with your kneecaps and shoulders visible. Some of our exercises are done barefoot and some require shoes so please also bring a pair of workout/tennis shoes.
Virtual
Virtual posture therapy pairs the expertise and connection of 1:1 therapy with the convenience of being accessible from your home or office. Conducted via video conferencing, virtual sessions offer our premium Egoscue experience from the comfort of your space.
What you need
You will need a webcam and an active internet connection. We ask that you dress in comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movement and allows us to take pictures with your kneecaps and shoulders visible. Some of our exercises are done barefoot and some require shoes so please have a pair of workout/tennis shoes available.
You also will need an area when you can lie down on the floor and extend your arms out to the side and over your head. You may also need a wall that you can stand against.
Some of our exercises require basic equipment. We sell Egoscue products but if you don’t have our equipment, you can use the following common household items as substitutes: a table chair, a belt or yoga strap, or a full-size towel.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Have questions? We’re here to help.
What is The Egoscue Method?
Founded by Pete Egoscue in the 70s, The Egoscue Method is postural therapy. We believe that both chronic and acute pain is due to misalignment in the body as it loses its designed posture. The human body is designed to move! However, with most of society becoming more and more sedentary, the body develops musculoskeletal dysfunctions and compensations. When those are present, pain and injury set in or are lurking right around the corner. The Egoscue Method restores the body back to its designed posture, alleviating pain and returning you back to an active, pain-free lifestyle.
How does The Egoscue Method work?
How much does it cost?
The Egoscue Method is an investment in terms of both time and finances. Your Egoscue Method menu will take 30 minutes to two hours to complete. Although not everyone needs two hours, those who do are in so much pain they will do their menu daily, regardless of how long it takes.
On the financial side of things, we offer different therapy packages and experiences: You can work face to face with a therapist either in person or via digital therapy. We also offer online therapy. Talk with your therapist to determine which option suits you best and get an idea of how many visits you may need.
How long will it take for me to see results and feel better?
How often do I need to do my exercises?
Do I have to do my menu in its entirety?
Yes, you need to do your full menu at least once per day, in the given order. One exercise sets up the next, so sequencing is important. Outside of that time, you can do any exercises that you feel are beneficial for your body.
Is it normal to feel sore after doing my menu?
Is The Egoscue Method covered by insurance?
How long does it take to finish my therapy?
