Nothing was working, exercises and yoga resulted in more pain. Even simple things like sitting in a car or standing for more than a few minutes were misery. I was at a juncture where I really felt I would have to give up running permanently. After starting my sessions with Egoscue, my optimism and hope grew week after week. I dedicated myself to the exercises and 'time in the tower'. The pain diminished, I felt stronger, more flexible and I was able to return to running. The endorphins were flowing. My smile returned as well as my optimism for achieving my crazy bucket list of running exploits.
Words cannot express how grateful I am for Anu and the staff in Boulder. I cannot imagine a life without running, it is not just a hobby, but something that has become intertwined in my identify. Egoscue works. It is not a quick fix, but for those willing to commit the time and energy an active, pain free life is achievable. I only wish I had discovered Egoscue earlier.
